Regional & Rural Revitalization @@@
What we Propose:
Our company proposes to attract and connect youth, specifically university and high school students from Japan and abroad, to the Japanese rural area, supporting rural development and farming, through training, workshops, internship facilitations…
Why are we Doing that:
There is a need for more research dissemination (conference presentations and paper publications) to enhance Japan’s position in the global academic world. Our company aims to train university students (specifically master’s and PhD students) who want to attend international conferences in English, French, and Spanish. We will provide academic writing courses and public speaking training to boost the ability and confidence of students in Japan. Japan aims to triple the number of its PhD graduates by 2040 (Asahi, 2024). Our initiative is relevant to such an important and necessary goal.
In Japan, the depopulation of rural areas caused by the aging population, the migration of youth toward big cities, and the low birthrate has been an important socio-economic issue for several decades. While farmers in Japan are dealing with a labor shortage problem, many young people who have shown an interest in agriculture stay in big cities trying to find a small job (arubaito) or a long-term job out of the agricultural sector. We want to contribute to raising awareness among youth in Japan on the necessity of their full implication in this critical matter.
