Biography
Rathma Inna Soma holds a Master of Agricultural Science in International Agribusiness Management from the Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from IPB University, Indonesia. With a versatile background spanning research, international education, program management, and creative entrepreneurship, she brings a rich, cross-cultural perspective to academic and professional development programs.
Her primary research and professional passions lie in school food systems, food education, community development, and qualitative research methodologies. An accomplished presenter, Rathma has shared her research at prestigious international forums, including the Canadian Association for Food Studies (CAFS) Congress in Toronto and the 3rd ICAS Conference at IPB University, where she was awarded Best Presenter.
In addition to her academic achievements, Rathma has over a decade of experience in educational leadership and content development. She has managed large-scale international education programs funded by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, founded and managed language institutes, and worked extensively as an author and children's book illustrator (Buku Tentangku).
Rathma is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with proficiency in Japanese and basic Spanish, enabling her to connect effectively with diverse international audiences.
